34 years ago The Robert Nesta Marley(Bob Marley) died
My Random Thoughts : 34 years ago The Robert Nesta Marley(Bob Marley)
died. This reggae legend and philosopher inspired many across the globe
by his thoughts through the music he shared! I fondly remember " man to
man is so unjust you don't know who to trust... some will eat and drink
with you then behind they try to eliminate you...,""... until the
philosophy which rate one race inferior... is totally destroyed...", etc
etc. Some of my fb friends and many others have asked why
I have become silent for sometime now? guys I have been totally
shattered by what happened in my ancient town Gembu,Mambilla Plateau
where APC thugs burnt down my kid brother's house.Barr G.T Kataps. Not
only that. They also torched the houses of The Rt Hon Abel P Diah and
Amb Emmanuel Njiwah plus the retaliation that followed. I know some will
get offended by what I'm gonna say but honestly no sane society will
condone this brazen and wanton destruction and just keep silent. I'm so
so ashamed of our security forces especially the conducts of the DPO and
his men plus including the Army units stationed in town who stood by
and watched while this burning, looting etc took place without doing
ANYTHING! Even our Royal Father His Majesty Dr Shehu Audu Baju went out
twice to talk to these youths but they gave him a deaf ear! Well I have
read all sorts of comments on fb and elsewhere about what happened. On
behalf of The Kataps family I wish to thank His Majesty Dr Shehu Audu
Baju for his efforts and visit to the family house not only to
sympathise but console our dad over these sad event. I also wish to
thank those who sent in words or by personal visits to either the family
house or to some of us. As a family we demand thus;1. The arrest and
prosecution of the sponsors of this destructions cos we know them all.
2. The arrest and prosecution of all those who took part in the burning
and looting we know them all. 3. The dismissal of The DPO and his
collabirators.4. The arrest and court-marshalling of the Army Unit
commander and soldiers who were at the scene. These acts must not go
unpunished. For those who looted this is the time to come forth with
the looted property and confess. As The NJEL BO BANG and the descendant
of The Great TOHKIMCHIM of Bang the attendant consequences that will
follow you and your generation can better be imagined! Above all God
Almighty is watching!
Football Palaver
Football Palaver : Apologies guys especially Chelsea fans for being
absent for long. I have explained elsewhere the reasons. How can Chelsea
the English PL Champs be on any front page and yours sincerely be
absent? @Isma'il I know bros you tagged me twice or so but honestly I
didn't know what to say then. So where are the FA,Referees Council? How
about big mouths dem? The Blues just too much for wuna abi? Yes we
parked the bus. Why shouldn't we? When almost everything was done
to stop us? Congratulations to JM and the team for a job Weldone and a
wonderful season! Like Isma'il said there are just two clubs in the
World; Chelsea and others! On the flip side I'm not excited about the
reappointment of Keshi as the Super Eagles Coach. The guy has got
nothing new to offer! In other sports I don't know how scores or points
are awarded in boxing but I think my inlaw Manny Pacquiao won on the
night with Mayweather. He was the most exciting on the night. Cheers
folks it's good to be back! Life must go on!

Football Palaver CHELSEA's NIGHT
Football Palaver : Well The Blues the night is here in UCL against PSG!
Wishing JM and the team the best of luck. Also asking for fair play and
fair officiating by The Referee and the numerous assistants UEFA
introduced recently cos most times those ones standing behind the
goalposts seem to be doing absolutely nothing!
Unscrupulous elements to deforest on the Mambilla Platea
In recent times Govt agents connived with some unscrupulous elements to
deforest the once Beautiful Govt Reserved Forests on The Mambilla
Plateau. The exercise was carried out in such a reckless and ferocious
manner without minding the consequences of the quantum of damages done
to the environment. Today apart from the Eucalyptus farms owned by
individuals, that of Govt has become a shadow of it former self. What a
pity! Now the little one that adorned The Govt Lodge within Gembu
Metropolis is being hewed with such a recklessness one wonders if there
is any Govt organ to check n stop all these nonsense? That's not just
my concern. What about the dirtiness, filts we have created for the town?
Its a big shame us as a people to have abandon the multi-million naira
Gembu New Market to lay in waste only for us to go for the
open, conjested, narrow one near Pege? Or more still to have the Old
Motorpark junction so so conjested with big lorries offloading goods
there instead of the new Motorpark? Worst still the Catholic Church
junction has turned into a Motorpark? Even more pathetic is the
obstruction of the new tarred road with goods and wares thereby posing
grave dangers to those plying that road. Why can't the LGC direct those
doing their personal constructions along that highway remove and
decongest the roads? Now the Big One;where is the Gembu Master plan? I
can see Gembu developing and expanding both east and westward so what
happens now that no one is paying any attention to the provision of
schools, clinics or recreation centres? I'm deeply embarrassed that a big
town such as ours no portable drinking water for the teeming populace?
Electricity? Proper drainage systems? The reckless way and manner refuse
is dumped without any plans whatsoever to remove such? Haba
As civil servants
MY RANDOM THOUGHTS: we toil day and night so as to
contribute our quota to National Development. In other words without
civil servants no meaningful development shall take place. It is in the
light of this that majority of the categories of civil servants retire
by a continuous 35 years(for my category as a teacher)or at the
attainment of 60 years. In our country and my state Taraba it is expected
that having put these many years in the service of our dear state
and country retirement should expectedly be a period of enjoying life
after but greatly alarming is the total negligence of this categories of
our senior citizens! Many have died without enjoying a single kobo! THE
CASE IN TARABA STATE IS TERRIBLE!What is happening in Taraba State?
Some STATE GOVT RETIRED CIVIL SERVANTS have gone for several years
without getting their benefits paid. THAT OF RETIRED LOCAL GOVT STAFF?
They are worst off with some retiring since 2013 without having their
names even on the monthly pension! ANY surprise therefore in seeing
these categories of our citizens dying penury, poverty and disease? I
write this appealing to The AG GOVERNOR OF TARABA STATE,ALH ABUBAKAR
SANI DANLADI to please pay. The Labour Movement in the state had gone
deaf and dumb. So your EXCELLENCY KINDLY RESCUE!
Football Palaver :
Football Palaver : Congratulations to The Gunners for gunning down The
Red Devils of Manchester! Ordinarilly I would have kept mute but for Gee
Tee Kataps, Charles and Tim Juyoh who all would have accuse me of not
showing any form of sportsmanship despite the fact that Chelsea were
knocked out of the FA Cup earlier by Watford! And on the other hand an
unrepentant Man U fan Hamza Abubakar will obviously feel I was getting
my pound of flesh over Man Utd's elimination at OT by Arsenal! I told a
few friends that by selling off Welbeck to Arsenal Man Utd were gonna
regret one day and that one day came tonight with that brilliant 2nd
goal he scored. Well it isn't uhuru yet cos the semi-final draws was
done immediately and Arsenal will meet the winner between Watford
/Reading.

We all want a peaceful 2015 Elections.
My Random Thoughts : we all want a peaceful 2015 Elections. Every
candidate and each political party must and should be given level
playing ground. However I'm disturbed by some unfolding events in my
locality Gembu within the last 72 hrs. The PDP in Taraba State planned
it's flag- off of the Governorship Campaign for this day so why have the
APC come out to post and paste posters as if it were its own flag-off?
More worrisome is the fact that they(APC)sponsored supporters also
came out shouting and holding posters of APC Candidates? This is
inviting trouble. So what happens when APC Candidates too hit town and
PDP supporters too do same? I think political parties should and must
warn their supporters from doing this. My advice let's allow all
political parties chances to tell us what they intend doing for us
instead of this uncalled for display s that can easily breach the Peace
we enjoy in our land. There is certainly nothing gainful in this acts
rather than planting the negatives. All youths must know one thing.
Politicians will use and dump you for sure but when there is break down
of law and order each time it's the future of the youths that's I'd
being delayed and destroyed. We don't have any land to claim elsewhere
other than this one. So a stitch in time as they say? To those
sponsoring these youths to provoke anger and cause mayhem and
destruction I pray gainfully employ such or provide them with means of
livelihoods instead of this vices! Cos when rain falls it certainly
doesn't fall on one man's roof!
MY RANDOM THOUGHTS on Nigeria's brand of politics
My Random Thoughts : For how long will this go on? Nigeria's brand of
politics is the most expensive in the World! Someone should say I'm
wrong abeg! Almost everyone is involved one way or another. Before one
becomes or get elected you go through hell and back expenses wise so any
surprise why politicians loot? Nawa woooo I thought politics is about
development? How wrong I have been. It's mind boggling this huge money
spent as vehicles of ensuring elected or reelected? All the
ward heads, community heads, family heads etc now expects huge amount to
be dropped before they in turn instructs or directs those under their
influences to vote is so dangerous for our democracy. People don't care
nor give a damn to what credentials you parade but much money you have
to give? In a poor state such as Taraba how and when do we catch up with
others in terms of development when an armed robber can get elected
simply because we are poor? This must stop. It can't go on like this. No
way this whole thing about our democracy needs rebranding. With our low
level development and high rate of illiteracy The Presidential System
of governance won't survive. Even if crude oil prices were $200 per
barrel!
