We all want a peaceful 2015 Elections.
My Random Thoughts : we all want a peaceful 2015 Elections. Every
candidate and each political party must and should be given level
playing ground. However I'm disturbed by some unfolding events in my
locality Gembu within the last 72 hrs. The PDP in Taraba State planned
it's flag- off of the Governorship Campaign for this day so why have the
APC come out to post and paste posters as if it were its own flag-off?
More worrisome is the fact that they(APC)sponsored supporters also
came out shouting and holding posters of APC Candidates? This is
inviting trouble. So what happens when APC Candidates too hit town and
PDP supporters too do same? I think political parties should and must
warn their supporters from doing this. My advice let's allow all
political parties chances to tell us what they intend doing for us
instead of this uncalled for display s that can easily breach the Peace
we enjoy in our land. There is certainly nothing gainful in this acts
rather than planting the negatives. All youths must know one thing.
Politicians will use and dump you for sure but when there is break down
of law and order each time it's the future of the youths that's I'd
being delayed and destroyed. We don't have any land to claim elsewhere
other than this one. So a stitch in time as they say? To those
sponsoring these youths to provoke anger and cause mayhem and
destruction I pray gainfully employ such or provide them with means of
livelihoods instead of this vices! Cos when rain falls it certainly
doesn't fall on one man's roof!
MY RANDOM THOUGHTS on Nigeria's brand of politics
My Random Thoughts : For how long will this go on? Nigeria's brand of
politics is the most expensive in the World! Someone should say I'm
wrong abeg! Almost everyone is involved one way or another. Before one
becomes or get elected you go through hell and back expenses wise so any
surprise why politicians loot? Nawa woooo I thought politics is about
development? How wrong I have been. It's mind boggling this huge money
spent as vehicles of ensuring elected or reelected? All the
ward heads, community heads, family heads etc now expects huge amount to
be dropped before they in turn instructs or directs those under their
influences to vote is so dangerous for our democracy. People don't care
nor give a damn to what credentials you parade but much money you have
to give? In a poor state such as Taraba how and when do we catch up with
others in terms of development when an armed robber can get elected
simply because we are poor? This must stop. It can't go on like this. No
way this whole thing about our democracy needs rebranding. With our low
level development and high rate of illiteracy The Presidential System
of governance won't survive. Even if crude oil prices were $200 per
barrel!
